Information:

The NMBS-SNCB AR4505 must be installed first!
The 4509, together with the 4505 are the only dmu's of class 45 in the latest blue livery.

The dieselunits from serie 45, build by 'Atelier Germain' at Monceau-sur-Sambre, were put into service during the sping of 1955. Those days people didn't speak about serie 45, but type 605. Toltally there were 10 units build (605.01 - 605.10). The dieselunits from series 45 are identicely the same, only the motorisation is a bit different. Serie 44 uses one single 12-cylinder GM-engine, the 45 uses two 6-cylinder engines in line which each operate a bogie. Both engines have jointly the same power (2x 178 pk)  as an 12-cylinder engine. - more expensive, heavier and takes more space. The good point of 2 engines, when one engine breaks down, the other engine can still be used to move the train. The GM-engines were modernised, aswell the transmissions by Voith.

When the ten 605's were delivered, the were assigned the the depot of Landen the go on duty on the unelectrified lines in the surroundings. On January the 17th 1965 the dieselcars moved towards the depot of Haine-St-Pierre, there they replaced the dieselcars type 554. During the late 70's, many lines got electrified and therefor the 605's, now 45's moved again, this time to Bertrix, there final depot. This happened between 1980 and the 17th Juny 1984, the introduction of the famous IC-IR. At Bertrix they assured together with serie 44, all services to Dinant, Bastogne and Virton. Both series 44 an 45 were all replaced bij the new diesel multiplied unit serie 41 in 2002,... the end of the 44/45. Some dieselunits are preserved by organisations: 4505 by the SNCB (Belgian Railways), 4506 by TSP-PFT, 4403 by SCM, 4405 by SCM (parts for 4403) and the 4407 by CFV3V.

Our MSTS version of the serie 45, 4505 has been build with TSM Train Sim Modeler. This model uses at this moment the cabview of the AR41 by MS Trainstop. The sideview are already original from the 4506. The model has it's own passengerview, sounds by Leisure, animated transmissions, wipers.
