Built to replace the Mat'54 Hondekop (Dognose), the Mat'64 Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) were built by Werkspoor and Talbot between 1961 and 1976. This is a revised 400-series Plan-V version in the blue and yellow colours, comprised of 2 coaches - A Bk driving coach, and an ABk driving coach. They operated in the Netherlands on all major routes before being phased out in the 1990s. All these EMUs were operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS).
